HAN Hsiang-ning is a renowned artist born in 1939. After graduating in fine arts from National Taiwan Normal University, he became a member of the Fifth Moon Painting Society, later moving to New York in 1967. His earlier works were mainly abstract paintings with an emphasis on design and space, and during his first years in the US he also filmed artistic events and everyday life on 8mm film. His later works consist mainly of photorealistic paintings.
