Jaro Minne (Belgium)

Jaro Minne (b. 1992) is a Belgian writer/director who frequently works on the East-West crossover. He studied at KASK Ghent, Helsinki Film School before completing a master degree at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels in 2015. His work combines intimacy with distance, often exploring rootlessness and family dynamics. Various festivals have screened his work, including Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, Message to Man St. Petersburg IFF, Belgrade IFF, Film Fest Gent, NCCA Moscow. His commissioned work covers projects for Channel 4 and Yarat Contemporary Art Space Baku.
