Taylor Sheridan (b. 1969, Texas, USA) is an American director, actor, and screenwriter. He began his career as an actor in TV series, gaining special notice for the role of David Hale in the series Sons of Anarchy (2008-09). He established himself writing scripts for the successful thrillers Sicario (2015, dir. Denis Villeneuve) and Hell or High Water (2016, dir. David Mackenzie), both of which premiered at Cannes; the second script received nominations for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. He debuted as director with the equally successful picture Wind River, which enjoyed a premiere at Sundance.
