Melanie Pereira is the director of Aos meus pais (2018), a documentary about her parents’ immigration process to Luxembourg, awarded at Doclisboa 2018. The documentary Nos Jardins do Barrocal premieres at Porto/Post/Doc the following year, and in 2020, the documentary-essay Memória Descritiva is included in the official selection of Doclisboa and of Porto/Post/Doc. Her latest film, As Melusinas à margem do rio, won 3 awards at DOCLisboa 2023. Alongside her interest in e/immigration identities, memories and archives, she develops several works around cinema and women.
