Baku-born Leylakhanim Ganbarli (b. 1992) has her music education in piano playing. She later studied film university programmes in Azerbaijan and Turkey. She is the author of several documentary shorts out of which A Butcher's Daughter (2021) has been screened at Cinedoc Tbilisi and DokuBaku IDFF (Jury Award).
