Kristina Vlachová studied at the technical university and the film academy in Prague. Until the middle of the 1980s she worked in book publishing companies. Based on political reasons, she was then allowed to work only in menial jobs until 1989. After the revolution, she focused on the topics of Nazi and Communist heritage in the Czech society.
