Jean-Jacques Martinod is a filmmaker, media artist, educator, radio DJ, and film curator, originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador.
His work has been awarded Jury Prize in both DocumentaMadrid and Curtocircuito and has screened in museums, galleries, film festivals and independent artist-led co-ops, including the Museum of The Moving Image, PHI Centre Montreal, Cinemateca do MAM Rio de Janeiro, Cinemateca de Bogotá, Cinemateca Nacional del Ecuador, and festivals that include IFFR, Sheffield Doc/Fest, FIDMarseille, European Media Arts Festival, Mar del Plata, 25FPS, Camden International Film Festival Stuttgarter Filmwinter Festival for Expanded Media, l’Alternativa Festival de Cinema Independent de Barcelona, among many others.
