Notes on the livability at A Barca

  • Spain
Audio Tracks

The images of the film were recorded during a few summer days around A Barca, an abandoned village in the southern Galicia. They show the experience of a filmmakers group approaching to a territory for their first time, the people they meet along the way, their listenings, ideas and reflections. As an exercise of subjectivity, the film shows the fascination for a plant, moss, a cat, some wonderful people. It is an attempt to understand a reality: a region with a complex history, with a series of problems and circumstances. The film is a first approach to that reality, whose understanding is not complete.
