San Franciscan filmmaker James T. Hong sees documentary film as a tool for realising a concept within a firmly
defined frame. Therefore, he does not attempt to portray an objective reality, but at the same time his subjective perspective is not individually absolute; it is conditioned by an ideological starting point as a given that enables him to examine political, economic, and cultural relations between the West, Taiwan, and China, and for this it is enough for him to spend even a few minutes with a shoe cleaner.

Film will be available after festival screening from 28.10. at 9:00
