Years after the genocide, the film depicts a rwandese society still fighting this ideology, observing survivors and assassins, face to face in citizen trials : Children murderer, Obede’s quest for forgiveness is a cynical attempt to freedom ; Gahutu, guiltess, still calls «serpents» those he exterminated. François, was forced to slaughter his brother to himself survive.
