When Helena Třeštíková started her observation of the stories of six young couples in 1980 she probably did not know what it would come to. After the grand success of the six-part television series Marriage Stories, she edited the filmed material into the feature-length film Looking for Ways. Depicting the lives of five young couples, the stirring documentary captures the 1980s in Czechoslovakia in a better way than a history book could, no matter how detailed.
