Told with light a touch and gentle words, this humorous film straddling the line between documentary and fiction takes a loving look at the story of an old man who devoted his life to aquarium fish and dreams of entering the underwater world. “Those who want, find a way. Those who don’t, find a reason.”

Long rows of aquariums, spawning pools, and tubs of colourful fish or fish resembling spaghetti, all in an eerie, artificially lit atmosphere. The kingdom of Homo Ciris teems with the beauty of never-ending amazement.
